FAQ

Questions We're Often Asked

Can we see you perform live before booking?
Of course, we wouldn’t have it any other way! We often host Open Rehearsals or showcase events, details of which will be on our website and our social media pages a few weeks’ prior. And just so you know, we will NEVER invite prospective clients to hear us at your event.

Is your equipment reliable?
Absolutely. Our PA and Lighting systems are serviced regularly and applicable electrical items have the relevant PAT certificates.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Every band member is a member of The Musicians’ Union and is covered for all aspects of public performance to the tune of £10 Million (!)

How long does it take you to setup and sound-check?
We will take a maximum of 1 hour to setup and sound-check. Rest assured that if your event is running behind we will we do all we can to make up time for you.

Do you ever use backing tracks?
We are a fully live seven-piece band at all times. Everything you hear is, and always will be, generated by the musicians on stage.

Can you play ceilidh music?
Of course we can! Played fully live and with all steps called we play a short ceilidh set of your favourite dances including The Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant and Strip The Willow.

Do you use a male lead singer as well?
Anneliese is our female lead singer for every song we play. Our trumpet player Kevin, provides male backing vocals and Gemma our keyboard player, female backing vocals.

Can you learn a song for our engagement?
We’d love to! It’s one of the most satisfying parts of what we do that we can make your event unique by doing so.

Do you accommodate requests on the night?
As long as the song is part of our playlist, we’re happy to take requests.

Do you provide background music during your breaks?
Absolutely! We can play music or you can provide your own playlist which we will play through our PA system.

What do you wear?
The boys wear a combination of smart shirts, ties, black trousers and shoes; the girls use any excuse to be as glam as they can!

How loud do you play?
It’s up to you; if you need us to play quieter or indeed louder, we will try and accommodate this as far as possible.

What do you do if one of you is ill or on holiday etc?
Don’t worry, on the rare occasion this happens it won’t affect your booking: having studied and played with many musicians over the years we have very able deps for each position in the band.
